At 2 am, we turned on the TV because of the extremely loud storm outside our window. We could hear swirling wind, lots of loud noise, then the sirens.
This house is about 100 yards from our home. Amazingly enough, we had no damage in our yard or home.
The Storm was an EF2, which means winds from 111 to 135 miles per hour. I don't like tornadoes.
They are estimating that among Omaha, there are > 100 homes that were damaged by this storm.
Hopefully, we have had our fair share of tornadoes for this season.

Holy Cow! That is amazing you guys missed having damage to your house! I am so glad you are O.K.! When you saw the storm coming where did you go? Do you have a fruit cellar or anything? I would have been scared to death! Julie
Well, we didn't actually see the storm coming, nobody did. We just went to our basement (into the laundry room) and waited for the sirens to turn off. Once they turned off, we went back to bed. It was scary, but nothing compared to those poor scouts about 50 miles from here.
That is so scary. I feel bad for those scouts and their families! About three weeks ago I was talking with a guy from Oklahoma and he told us one of the time he has been the most scared in his life was when he was on a scout trip and a tornado came through. They all ended up being ok but it sounded like it scared them really good. Julie
holy cow. crazy. aren't you glad to be gone from that nonsense?
One of my worst fears is tornados. We are so glad that you are safe from that. We love you and can't wait to see you guys. Lil Bert looks absolutely precious. My girls just want to love him. Love you,
Wendy
