Around here, no news is good news.
I really haven’t picked up my camera too much to take pictures of Drew because frankly, he doesn’t let me. Once the camera is out, it is “mine”, or his, that is. Not a fun fight. But here are a few shots of Drew mainly from our phones.
This is Drew during one of mom’s “lazy” mornings. Sometimes I just can’t drag myself out of bed before Steve leaves for school and the iPad becomes our best pal. Bad mom award, I know.
Grandpa and Drew at an Aggie game.
Baths are still fun.
Riding in the car with Matt at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s.
A day warm enough for a short wagon ride around the neighborhood.
Henry is still doing okay. Over the last few weeks, we have watched his heart rate get slower and slower, until we reached about 50 or so (normal babies should be between 110 to 160). So, I got to start a new medication to try and keep his heart rate up. And it has. For now. So, we are now floating in the upper 50’s range instead of the lower, which is good. Hopefully we can stick there.
(This is just a tracing of Henry’s heart. The big round section on the right side is his abdomen).
So far, his growth is good and he is measuring right where he should be at 24 weeks. He also doesn’t act too bothered by what his heart is doing now, and is showing no bad signs yet. He’s a fighter.
In the horizon: a trip to Madison, Wisconsin to have an “EKG” done on Henry. It’s the only place in the country that does this type of testing on fetuses and they want us to come, so we are on our way!
