week 10

Well, we have been doing this now for 10 weeks.  Whew.  That means, I’m headed back to work.  Sounds sad, but I’m excited.  Steve gets out of school this week, so we will switch places.  This leaves me 15 days left of my leave to use when Hank comes home (who knows when that will be?!)

Funny, my due date was on the 30th of May.  Wonder if he would have been this small when he was born on his  actual due date.  It’s a possibility since his heart function limited his growth quite a bit.

Henry is now 2625 grams (5 pounds and 12 ounces).  He is still growing like a weed.

Look how much he likes his bouncer chair.  And, look at his pacer box.  It’s not bigger than him anymore, but still heavier.

He is doing really good.  His biggest holdback are his lungs.  Not really sure why he struggles so much in that area.  Probably a combination of his heart and his prematurity.  Respiratory wise, he is still on CPAP.  He is the slowest wean ever!  He must really like his CPAP machine because he is in no rush to get rid of it.

As soon as he weans on respiratory, he can try to eat from a regular bottle.  He is ready to try for sure.
