baby

facts:

  1. Hank weighs 1720 grams = 3 pounds 12 ounces.
  2. Hank is on only one medication -  multivitamins (not even really a medication).
  3. Hank’s heart ECHO was unchanged from last time.  His heart function is good enough to not be on any medications and is not affecting his lungs.
  4. Hank has some mild lung disease (mostly due to prematurity) and is on 5 liters of high flow oxygen, but is weaning every day.
  5. Hank had a repeat head ultrasound yesterday, and the results looked good.  No calcifications (whatever that means).
  6. Hank had an eye exam a few days ago, and still doing good in that department.
  7. Hank’s status on being held by mom and dad is still being debated.  It would be good for his development so the neonatologists want it, but will his parent’s accidentally pull out his pacer wires?  (That is the concern of the cardiologists)  I think not.  I guess it’s obvious what I think.
  8. Hank apparently does not have to be 4000 grams before he gets his internal pacer.  Also still in debate.  He may be able to get the pacer when he is ready to go home from a preemie standpoint (able to eat, weaned to low oxygen flow).  We will see.
  9. Hank is doing awesome and is such a trooper.  We can’t wait to bring him home!
